Arrowhead GC

This time I traveled with the guys from HIO-Fitting to Naples in Florida to play some great courses and prepare for the PGA Show! My target was to play as often golf as possible because back in Germany the weather is just way to cold for any golf! The first course we played is named “Arrowhead GC“. I booked a tee time via golfnow.com – pretty expensive in the area around Naples :/ Arriving at the range I was super disappointed! No grass only sand and the range balls from a different planet. What can you do … after playing my first hole my mood didn’t become better.

Terrible fairways and slow greens. But the next five holes doesn’t look too bad and it was fun to play! At least the layout of some holes were nice and tricky.

Very strange and with my golf skills unplayable was hole no.3 a par4 dogleg left. You need a powerslice from the tee to reach the right side of the fairway. Other option is to carry 250m with your driver … anyway with some magic help you might be able to attack the well protected green with your second shot.

No magic for me at this day ;) A pretty cool hole and my goodsundays.com signature hole is no.9 a mid length par4 with water on the left.

As I aimed too much right I had to do a rescue shot back on the fairway. From here I still had a 7 iron into the green! The green has a huge bunker on the left, further left is water, on the right in front of the green is a huge water hazard. So hit the green or your ball is gone.

The back nine are a lot nicer to play! It felt like the greens were a bit faster and the layout of the course was a little bit more attracting. All over 97$ for this course is in my opinion way too much money.
