#unerwartet wäre der passende Hashtag als Intro für den GC Altötting-Burghausen. Ich habe schon viel von dieser Perle gehört, aber um ehrlich zu sein, konnte ich mir darunter nichts vorstellen. Als ich kurz vor Sonnenaufgang auf dem Parkplatz ankam und den Buggy abholte, war mir klar, dass der GC Altötting-Burghausen fett ist.

When I arrived at the car park shortly before sunrise and picked up the buggy, it was clear to me that the GC Altötting-Burghausen was amazing.

Der GC Altötting-Burghausen ist sportlich, abwechslungsreich und in einem wahnsinnig guten Zustand. Zudem ist der Golfplatz liebevoll in die Natur eingebettet. Überall hört man die Vögel zwitschern und der Erholungswert ist sehr hoch schon nach 2 Löchern ist der Alltagsstress garantiert verschwunden.

The GC Altötting-Burghausen is sporty, varied and in insanely good condition. In addition, the golf course is lovingly embedded in nature. You can hear the birds chirping everywhere and the recreational value is very high. After just 2 holes, the stress of everyday life is guaranteed to disappear.

Der GC Altötting-Burghausen wurde mit dem Prädikat Golf und Natur ausgezeichnet – ein Eldorado für die Artenvielfalt und ein wunderbares Beispiel dafür, wie Golf und Natur Hand in Hand gehen können. Ob dein Spiel und die Natur zusammenpassen, wirst du allerdings erst auf deiner Scorekarte erkennen können. Ich persönlich habe mich in diesen Platz verliebt. Hier kann man wirklich modernes, sportliches Golf spielen.

Die hohen Bäume kommen nur selten ins Spiel, spenden aber bei warmen Sommerrunden Schatten. Lange Drives sind auf den Back Nine wichtig, aber man sollte sie nicht versauen. Der GC Altötting Burghausen verzeiht nichts. Das gilt auch für die Eisen – die Grüns sind schwer zu treffen, aber schön zu putten, und das gefällt mir sehr gut. Das Grün auf der 5 ist besonders interessant. Ich muss sagen, dass ich und Deutschland so etwas noch nie gesehen haben. Ein Bunker im Grün – wirklich verrückt.

The tall trees rarely come into play, but provide shade during warm summer rounds. Long drives are important on the back nine, but you shouldn’t mess them up. The GC Altötting Burghausen is not forgiving. That also applies to the irons – the greens are hard to hit but nice to putt, and I like that very much. The green on the 5 is particularly interesting. I have to say that I and Germany have never seen anything like it. A bunker in the green – really crazy.

Aber die Löcher, die mich am meisten fasziniert haben, waren die 15 und die 18. Loch Nummer 15 würde ich als mein Signature Hole des GC Altötting Burghausen bezeichnen, Par 5 Hcp 2 und 460m von den gelben Herrenabschlägen. Das Fairway ist ein Muss, um hier irgendwie ein Par zu spielen. Auch der 3. Schlag ins Grün muss akkurat gespielt werden. Das Wasserhindernis auf der linken Seite des Grüns reicht so weit vor das Grün, dass es sich wie ein Inselgrün spielt. Rechts und hinter dem Grün befindet sich Gestrüpp oder unbespielbares Gelände.

The water hazard on the left side of the green extends so far in front of the green that it plays like an island green. To the right and behind the green is scrub or unplayable terrain.

Zusammenfassend kann ich sagen, dass der GC Altötting-Burghausen eine Pilgerreise wert ist. Ein abwechslungsreicher und sportlicher Golfplatz, der zum Genießen einlädt. Der GC Altötting-Burghausen ist liebevoll und unaufgeregt in die hiesige Landschaft eingebettet, so dass man die Runde fast mit einem entspannten Spaziergang in der Natur verwechseln könnte. Natürlich ist der Score trotzdem wichtig, aber dafür muss man Golf spielen. Wenn es nicht klappt, geht man einfach spazieren. Es ist trotzdem schön. Besonders toll ist, dass der GC Altötting-Burghausen auch einen 9-Loch-Golfplatz ein paar Kilometer entfernt hat. Aber darüber muss ich einen eigenen Blogartikel schreiben, denn dieser Platz ist definitiv auch eine Runde wert.

In summary, I can say that the GC Altötting-Burghausen is worth a pilgrimage. A varied and sporty golf course that invites you to enjoy. The GC Altötting-Burghausen is lovingly and unagitatedly embedded in the local landscape, so that you could almost mistake the round for a relaxed walk in nature. Of course, the score is still important, but you have to play golf for that. If it doesn’t work out, you just go for a walk. It’s still nice. It’s especially great that the GC Altötting-Burghausen also has a 9-hole golf course a few kilometres away. But I’ll have to write a separate blog article about that, because this course is definitely worth a round too.
