A hotel which I can recommend, even if it is not for everyones wallet is the Intercontinental Estoril-Cascais. The perfect and extraordinary location and the short distance to Estoril or Cascais centre are a real advantage. From your balcony, you have breathtaking views over the coast of Cascais and the Atlantic. In addition, and most importantly, you can relatively easily (25-minutes by car) reach all the golf courses of Oitavos, Penha Longa to the hidden gems of the Lisbon Sports Club, Estoril or Belas Clube Campo.

The spacious rooms in the 5 star hotel are really beautiful and tastefully furnished, and not to forget the outstanding service. The location of Intercontinental Estoril-Cascais particularly stands out because of its location. Clearly the pool, spa and gym are of the highest level, but the possibility to walk to either Estoril or Cascais in about 10 minutes is especially nice. From the hotel door it takes about 10 minutes by car to Oitavos or 20 minutes to Penha Longa.

In the evening I HAD to go for a seafood dinner. Well, I was on the Atlantic coast, so what would you expect! The Atlântico Bar & Restaurante is right next door to the hotel and a what a tasty meal I had. You can eat brilliantly in this area. Amazing fresh produce with a fusion of local and modern cuisine. After this sumptuous dinner I was really looking forward to my big and comfortable bed, but I unfortunately only had one night in my small castle.

However, I loved it. The following day, before I headed to Oitavos, I had one last chance to enjoy the view, take in the fresh sea breeze and enjoy their delicious breakfast.

In summary, I can only say good things about the hotel. It is clearly 5 star, but each star is worth every cent. Design, style, luxury, elegance combine with the perfect location and first-class service to make it an ideal choice.

Small insider tip. The cheese selection at the Intercontinental Estoril-Cascais I had a small selection with wine at the hotel bar, wow, what a pleasure.
