Falcons Fire GC
What a nice memory. I played Falcons Fire GC last year during my trip to the PGA show in Orlando. I had a tee time with Marco Burger and Benny Pfister the two brains behind HIO-Fitting.
We met at the driving range of Falcons Fire GC to hit a bucket of balls before heading to the first tee. To be honest I was a little bit nervous – Marco is quite a good golfer and some people told me that he really hits a long ball. Oh boy and its true, his drives were awesome.
After the first hole I became more relaxed as I decided to enjoy a nice round of golf together with some guys who know how to golf. Oh I forgot a significant detail – Marco had this great idea to play from the champions tee which makes it even more difficult for me to perform well ;) But Falcons Fire GC is really a beauty.
I already read a lot about this course and its ranking to one of the 15th best public courses of the area of Orlando. I totally agree with that. Beside that I booked a late tee time via GolfNow on a nice sunny day which includes an awesome sunset mood on the last holes we played. Falcon Fire GC was such a task for my game. Its long and it has smart and well placed traps on every hole. Bunkers, lots of water hazards and really really fast and difficult greens.
My Goodsunday.com signature hole was number 13th a long dogleg right from the champions tees. 394yards including a 200yards carry drive to reach the fairway. Aiming to much left will end up in a huge gallery of tinny bunkers. On the right side water is waiting for you. I hit two balls into the water – so no more questions needed. Arriving at the green you still have to battle the fast green – really hard to make this one with par.
If you are ever around Orlando I recommend to visit Falcons Fire GC for a great shoot.
