On day two of my short trip to Barcelona I was able to play the yellow loop of El Prat. Also a really exciting course. Even though the Yellow loop is completely different from the Pink Loop it has similar fun playing it. Yellow is much more open and windy than that the pink and is mainly characterized by long holes and lots of sand.

Also the first nine are a bit easier and you should try to give your score a little bit of a head start because the second nine will chew you up. Here the bunkers come more and more often into play and will bring you into critical situations. A perfect example is the 18th, which is lined with bunkers and requires precision.

What else do you want to know? A small excursion or really noteworthy is the club gastronomy. You could rather call it a kind of super delicious designer food even better than the pictures can describe it.

Let me put it this way… The food in the clubhouse is delicious, or rather, it’s not really a term for it, it’s exquisite. You always have the good weather guarantee in the region around Barcelona and El Prat is only about one hour away from Barcelona airport.

All this in combination with a nice hotel like mine the Grand Hotel La Florida the perfect golf/culture trip into the south of Europe. Apart from telling you that it is more than gigantic and that you can play really really good golf … oh, maybe one more thing. You should get your asses over here and play this pearl.
